The Springfest Finale

The 2024 Springfest season came to a close last Friday with an hour-and-a-half-long assembly full of action and amazing performances by several court members and clubs. Here is a look into the festivities.
The Leadership II class worked hard for several months to put together this assembly. They even made a series of videos chronicling the competition between the court members.

Guess the movie!

After the court introduction, a final game was played before the whole school. During this game, the pairs faced off at a table, attempting to flip and land a cup right side up and then race over to hit a buzzer. They then would have to name the movie signified by a series of projected emojis.

The first contestant to complete the aforementioned series of events and come up with the correct movie title would win that round. Several rounds were played, and the competition was fierce! After the game, the assembly moved to the variety acts component.

The variety acts

50% of Springfest pairs’ total scores came from the games played over several weeks, and the other 50% came from the talent portion.

Students at Wilsonville were asked to vote on which pair they believed had the best performance. A combination of the students’ opinions and the scores from the games played would determine who won the title of “Springfest Court Royals.”

Paper airplane competition

The Leadership II class put together a paper airplane competition in which all of the classes would compete.

The first-place winner gets the first pick of AirPods, Hydro Flask bottle, Pickleball set, or JBL speaker.

Not only would the representatives compete for a chance to win a personal prize, but the grand champion would also win a popsicle party for their Life Class.

Each grade level would compete against itself, starting with the 9th grade. The top two winners from each grade level will advance to the final round.  In the final round, the flyers of the top four planes will get to select a prize.
