Sophomore Justine Sheets in action playing for her local Surf ECNL club team. Sheets enjoys playing soccer in the summer for her club team, while then giving her time to the Wilsonville High Schools girls soccer team in the fall. She has a large role on the soccer team with her defense, competent skills, and the way she plays with faith. Sheets continues to show her capabilities through soccer, while also dedicating time for her friends and family.
“Soccer was the first sport I ever did. I started in kindergarten, and I hated it, but then I went back out and tried it again in third grade. I got really into it and I found that it was something I had a connection to. I found a real family and community within soccer and that’s why I stuck with it.
Being a student athlete has an impact on the sports community and I try to be a positive representative of Wilsonville athletics. Making sure I am setting a community that brings in new creativity, but also is respectful to all opponents.
The goal for college is to be playing soccer and I’m hoping to get a degree in some sort of sports science, so I see myself along those lines of working with athletes.
Something that shapes who I am is my beliefs and being a Christian definitely shapes how I view experiences, situations, people, and just life in general shapes me to be the person I am and who I want to be. You only get one life, so live it to the fullest potential.”
