Number 3, a senior at Wilsonville, Nick Crowley, runs the ball a couple of yards in the homecoming game against the Canby Cougars. (Avery Eckley)”I started playing football in fifth grade. I had no idea it would lead me to a family I never expected and turn into one of the most important parts of my life. The first time I stepped onto that field, I felt a rush of adrenaline and a sense of belonging that was unlike anything I had experienced before. When I got to high school, I was both nervous and excited to make the varsity team as a freshman. It was a whirlwind of practices, games, and late nights spent memorizing plays. With every tackle and touchdown, I grew closer to my teammates, who quickly became like brothers to me. Now that I’m a senior, I can’t help but reflect on how far we’ve come together. I’m eager to see where this journey will take me next. Each season feels like a new chapter, and I’m ready to embrace every moment with my team by my side.”
