One student who is considering joining the military is JD Greene. “One of the reasons why I’d like to join the military is because, after eight years of being in the military, I can get my college paid for and get experience and discipline.”
There are also military colleges like West Point military academy and the United States Air Force. These colleges help you train more for leadership roles in the military such as Generals.
Vivian Ward is interested in joining the Air Force Academy: “Air Force Academy would help give me guidance and learn really important leadership skills,”
To get into the Air Force Academy application process is very lengthy and competitive. This application includes a Pre-Candidate phase and an official Candidate phase. However, enlisting in the service is a very different process.
One prerequisite to enlisting in the regular military is having a high school diploma or at least a GED. During your time in the military, you will learn various skills that will help you with careers you might want to pursue later on in life.
