People of the Ville

Wilsonville’s commonly referred-to nickname, “The ‘Ville” has become popularized not just within the local community, but at Wilsonville High School as well. Displayed behind the bleachers at Randall Stadium, “the ‘Ville” is a nickname that represents the city’s small-town culture. Graphic provided by Jack Jensen.

In the fall of 2024, reporters from Wilsonville Broadcast Network embarked on a journey to find out about members of our community. Modeled on the Humans of New York series by Brandon Stanton, People of the ‘Ville tells the stories of Wilsonville High School one person at a time, from their POV.

Each WBN staff member created profiles of three “people of the ‘Ville” by conducting interviews, taking pictures, and writing biographies.
