“Hey, my name is Ayoub Laouamri. I’m a senior at Wilsonville High School. Outside of school, I usually spend my time working, hanging out with friends, working on cars, and snowboarding during the winter season. I love snowboarding and try to go at least twice a week, but I always aim for more. I also love working on cars—I know I mentioned that already, but just being around them is amazing. My friend Owen and I love driving, racing each other, and learning about the mechanics behind it; it’s so fascinating. I work two jobs: one at Tollen Farms, where I take care of animals, and another at Crumbl Cookie. At one point, I was working three jobs a week. I would work at Safeway once a week, Crumbl two times a week, and Tollen Farms twice a week. Then I would go snowboarding on Saturday. To help myself focus on school, I try to finish all my assignments during the school day so I’m free to work after school or on weekends. At the end of each quarter or semester, I take a few days off to focus and study for finals. Once those are over, I get right back to work.”
