Girls soccer shut out La Salle Falcons 3-0 making their way to #1
Your Lady Cats remain undefeated after exceptional match against the La Salle Falcons the other night on October 9th. Wanting to keep the triumph element continuous the team had to obtain an unambiguous champion mindset to perfect their game play.
Who else other than Lindsey Antonson would put the cats on the board first? Antonson maintained a ball heading out-of-bounds at the end line in front of the Falcon’s goal; bending it like Beckham towards the net. The shot was deflected off one of their own defenders and progressed past the keeper. Lindsey along with the team called out, “FIVE MINUTE RULE”, stressing the importance of keeping their own intensity up high for said time.
Junior midfielder: Araxi Martinez displayed her remarkable finesse by bustling through defender after defender making her own path towards the big while rectangle. Releasing her shot, hightailing to the goal, the ball fled once again past the keeper putting the Cat’s score at 2-0.
A slow start to the second half got boring for freshman Antonson. With her distinct moves, Linsey took on numerous D-men dancing circles around them; making a flawless, successful, attempt to secure the final score of 3-0.
The Wildcats made their way to the top of the rankings post win. Saying they’re on fire would be an understatement. Battle after battle they prove their ranks and plan to keep it rolling.
