Andrew Classen looks to move the ball in a game last year vs Putnam.

After four straight seasons of reaching the championship game, the Boys Basketball team at Wilsonville High School is looking forward to another successful season. After losing last year to Thurston in the championship game, the Wildcats are hungry for another chance at the 5A title.

For example, when talking to Junior Wing Andrew Classen, he said “I’m looking forward to go at it in practice everyday with my teammates and getting better everyday.”

In addition, Classen and his teammates have been looking forward to the season and have been preparing for a long time. Classen even went so far to say “We’ve been preparing for this season since that championship game from last year.” He continued on explaining that the team has been running more and getting in better shape as a team.

Even though the Wildcats lost four talented seniors last year, they are returning three starters including star guard Jack Roche. When asked how successful the team will be, Classen said, “I think that our team will be really good as long as we keep our minds on the right goals.” He went on saying that they need to take one game at a time for a successful season to ensue.

The Wildcats will open up the season November 30th with a home game vs Banks at 4pm. Make sure to be there to support your Cats!
