Wilsonville boys win league
Last Friday the Wilsonville boys basketball team clinched their league for the 5th straight year with a 66-46 win over the Putnam Kingsman. This is also their 3rd year going undefeated in league ending 14-0 in their league and 23-2 overall. These boys are just used to winning. They also managed to win the league on Senior night. Seniors Grant Irby, Zach Rivers, Nolan Thebiay, Sam Westing, and Jack Roche took the floor at the start of their last game at home. The chemistry between this senior class was like no other for all of them but one have been playing together since they were kids, so this last game was just like old times. This season was not uncontested though. The Parkrose Broncos and the La Salle Falcons put up quite a challenge in Wilsonville journey to an undefeated league season, yet the boys were ready for the challenge. They intend to make another run at the title this year after a tough loss to the Thurston Colts last year. In the two years before the cats made it and won the state title, so this year’s senior class is on a mission to go out on top again in their last season as a wildcat.
