Baseball vs Milwaukie
After coming out of a tough series with Hillsboro the boys loaded the buses and took on the Milwaukie Mustangs. Game one had junior Braden Woodworth on the mound. Woodworth was able to throw a complete game with six strikeouts and only allowing six hits and one walk. Senior Nolan Thebiay led the way on offence going three for three with two doubles and a triple getting four RBI’s. This sealed a 14-3 victory over the cats.
The next days the cats got on the bus again to face off against the Mustangs for game two. Starting at pitcher for the cats was junior Andrew Classen. Andrew took the mound and threw a shutout game with five strikeouts and only four hits. The offense came alive in the second half of the game scoring 4 in the fifth and 12 in the sixth. Senior Cade Edmondson had a great game at the plate going two for three and two RBI’s. The cats were able to head home with a 17-0 win.
The following friday the cats had game three at home. The boys were able to get a 3-0 lead in the first started off by senior Trevor Antonson’s line drive to left field. This followed by sophomore Jack kimball going three for four with two RBI’s. Junior Keegan Shivers starte on the bump for the cats and threw four innings and only allowing one run. Freshman Max Bledy came in for relief for one inning and gave up one run. Then junior Jarrod Seibol closed the last inning of the game for the cats sealing a 9-2 victory and sweep over Milwaukie.
