Homecoming is right around the corner and our Wilsonville Student Council is getting ready for all the excitement. Not only are they building floats to be paraded around Wilsonville, but they are planning the greatly anticipated Homecoming dance. Don’t forget, these Homecoming festivities are going to be a chance to root for your class so make sure to show up and cheer on your classmates in student council.

Every class will have their own float which will represent one of four well-known U.S. cities. Mr. Sundquist (Heath teacher) is assisting the Freshmen in making a Portland themed float, Mr. Raywald is helping plan the Sophomore float which will represent New York, Mr. Deter is helping with the L.A. themed Junior float, then last but not least, Mr. Cole and Ms. Couglar are assisting the Seniors with their Las Vegas themed float. They all have been working tirelessly on planning and executing their visions so we can be sure that this year’s homecoming parade will be one for the books.

Not only are we anticipating the parade, the Homecoming dance is always a great way to have fun with friends. The dance takes place on September 21 from 7:00-10:00 in the Aux Gym. The Sophomore Student council is in charge of planning the dance and one of their main goals is to make sure the students have good music to dance to. I think its safe to say we’re in good hands for this dance.

The entire student body is excited for all the activities and fun we are anticipating for this years homecoming weekend. Student council has worked hard for us to be able to have a good time and for that we are all very appreciative. Let’s show our appreciation by putting on our wildcat gear, watching the parade, cheering for our Football team, and Dancing our hearts out. Let’s make this Homecoming our best one yet!
