Wilsonville claps up Saint Helens 52-0

Wilsonville at Mt. Saint Helens really performed and when I say performed, I mean 52-0 blowout! Wilsonville’s varsity squad dominated @ Mt. Saint Helens, which was very much expected of them considering how Mt. Saint Helen’s performs against great teams like us. We were able to complete trick plays and have fun with them due to how easy it was for Wilsonville to destroy them. Caleb Rivera, a defensive lineman, stated that the best play overall was by Cody Gibson, an offensive linemen. Cody was given the ball on a trick formation and had everybody surprised when the offensive lineman was carrying the ball to the outside and in for an easy touchdown. Even the opposing team’s supporters were clapping and giving us support due to how crazy that play was. Caleb said they would have executed better but didn’t necessarily have to considering their opponent wasn’t very difficult. However, for future teams they should definitely work on execution, sportsmanship, and being first class. Caleb also stated that they did obviously a lot better than Saint Helens at preparing both mentally and physically during the game. Wilsonville tends to keep their pre-game warm ups pretty clean, loud, and mean to scare opponents whilst getting the crowd hyped as well. Obviously it does every time because our student section is always popping off and going crazy even at away games. Wilsonville now 6 – 1, preparing for their next opponents and preparing for the playoffs will perform better than ever. They also have Cruz Saucedo back from a dislocated shoulder, which seems to be his main problem due to surgeries on both shoulders and having a 6+ month recovery for each and getting a little behind but keeps his pace up along with his attitude and executes well at the Middle Linebacker position. We’ll see you at the playoffs.
