Wildcats take the mat and the big win
On November 5th, a few of the Wilsonville High School cheerleaders competed at the OCCA All State Competition at Thurston High School. Wilsonville came into the competition as the the underdogs, but were a force to be reckoned with.
The stunt team competed in the 5A/6A stunt division and executed a solid and clean stunt sequence which won them 1st overall, beating Thurston’s stunt team who had one for several years in a row.
The competition also had an individual portion where the competitors would showcase their tumbling skills and perform a cheer and dance for the judges.
McKina Stalheim shined her way into the finals and walked away with 2nd overall out of 127 other individuals in the 5A/6A division.
The Wilsonville Cheerleading team are working hard and are proving themselves to be tough competition for upcoming season.
