Intramural Basketball League Week 1
This week, the Intramural basketball league started up and the athletes could not be more stoked. The team to watch out for this season is the Wilsonville Seniors. With a record of 1-1 at the end of week one, they have some kinks to work out but are expected to make a deep playoff run, and hopefully win it all. The league itself is an alternative to playing on the school team and is an opportunity for players who can’t make the time commitment for the school team to still play ball and have fun. Sam Blohn, a player on the Wilsonville Senior team, is excited for the season especially, “I haven’t played competitive basketball since BYB (backyard basketball, a league hosted by Sam over the summer), and I’m working on shaking off the rust. The team is looking pretty good, and I’m really excited to play with my friends and people I’m close with. It’ll be a fun ‘last ride’ of sorts with the people I’ve grown up playing with.” The games are held at the Meridian Creek Middle School on Tuesdays and Thursday nights. Sam, along with the rest of the team is looking forward to a successful season and hopefully win it all.
