Star Wars Episode IX “The Rise of Skywalker”
Star Wars Episode IX, The Rise of Skywalker. One of the best Disney created Star Wars movie I’ve personally seen. I did not leave the theater once and I have a short attention span and get bored easily, especially at the movies but this movie had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Now, I’m a big Star Wars fan. Always have been and always will and it really upsets me when a majority of people said the movie was bad and Star Wars has gone downhill. Of course it had me thinking why people said it was bad so I had to see it for myself and I thought it was one of the best since The Revenge of The Sith in episode III, which is my all time favorite Star Wars film. Alright, if you haven’t seen the movie, now is the time to stop reading because I’m going to go into depth about the biggest scenes and summarize the movie into the most impact and important parts of this masterpiece of a movie. So it was discovered that the evil Emperor Palpatine did not die at the hands of Darth Vader in episode VI “Return of The Jedi”, and the rebels are racing against time in search for Darth Sidious. In the meantime, Finn and Poe are leading the Resistance to put a stop to the First Order and foil their plans to form a new empire, while Rey Skywalker is anticipating her inevitable confrontation with Ben Solo (Kylo Ren). She’s been having talks and confrontations with him telepathically and even physically fighting him in her mind and it’s a large build up of anger and curiosity to when he finds her and attempts to turn her to the dark side. At some point, both Kylo Ren and Rey get caught up with Palpatine and tells her to turn herself in to join the dark side and she refuses, causing Palpatine to attempt to kill her. Kylo Ren and Rey team up and defeat Palpatine and then KISS at the end of the movie. I’m not too sure but I think Kylo Ren will end up being joining The Resistance instead of Rey joining the Dark Side and Kylo will live on throughout his father Han Solo’s legacy after killing him. Not to mention, me and my friends were super grossed out because even though Rey’s parents are unknown for the most part, it’s been leaked that Han Solo is actually Rey’s father but Leia isn’t her mother, making her and Kylo Ren half-siblings and Rey isn’t a skywalker at all which is gross but we’ll have to find out in the next movie what happens to Rey’s newfounded power and being one of the best Jedi in the Resistance along side of Kylo Ren…
