Trap auditions at Wilsonville High School

Jason Katz

The Trap auditions begin on September 12. This is one of hopefully three shows the theater department will put on this year.

Even though classes are online, wearing masks is a new norm, and gathering in groups over 15 people feels strange, the Wilsonville High School Drama Department is trying to bring some normalcy back to 2020. The WVHS Drama Department is kicking off the school year with auditions for the second ever WVHS virtual play: Trap. Playscripts defines the Story line of Trap as “An incomprehensible event: every person in the audience of a high school play falls unconscious–every person but one. Using interviews with witnesses, loved ones, first responders, and the investigators pursuing the case, a theatre ensemble brings the story of the strange event to life, documentary-style.”

Not only does this play sound exciting and thrilling but it is looking for a cast. If you are interested in theatre and this storyline excites you then these auditions are for you. Just like the play these auditions are completely virtual. The Wilsonville High School Drama Department always creates spectacular shows and I can’t wait to see how they create the magic of theater over the screen. Good luck to everyone auditioning, break a leg!
