Oki Sushi and Grill, a “new” addition to Wilsonville’s plethora of restaurants and assortment of cuisines. Offering pleasant environment, fast service, and low prices, it’s everything sushi connoisseurs want, right? Far more than price goes into thought when it comes to sushi, making sushi an art form and isn’t something to be taken lightly.

The Vegas roll, delicious, agreeable for the price, and a good size and portion sadly it was the silver lining in this somewhat bleak food experience. The gyoza, although lacking in the wow factor, got the job done. For the price there’s only so much you can say in its defense, as the saying goes “you get what you pay for” the chicken gyoza was the physical embodiment of that sentiment 

 In the case of the Philadelphia roll the flavor was overpowering and distasteful, paired off with the irksome strawberry mochi it definitely lowered the bar expectations wise. Who knows, it may have been a bad batch, the only problem that presented itself with the strawberry mochi was the exterior dough, it was hard and nothing like what was expected of it.

The cucumber roll, purgatory wrapped in seaweed, nothing to see, and nothing to taste. However what would one expect of a roll of rice and cucumber? Blame the restaurant all you’d like for the mochi but at least they’re honest in terms of the cucumber roll.

Lastly the dragon roll one of the slightly spendier rolls did not disappoint, to some extent, a personal favorite. It wasn’t clear if it was good because of the restaurant themselves or personal dispositions. All in all, there are far better and far worse places to quench your sushi cravings, and if you do choose to try it for yourselves don’t get the mochi.
