The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society funds leading-edge research for every type of blood cancer.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is an organization dedicated to curing Leukemia, Lymphoma, Melanoma, and other blood cancers. They are known as the world’s largest voluntary nonprofit health organization. Since 1949 LLS has invested nearly $1.3 billion dollars in groundbreaking research. “We work tirelessly to find cures and ensure patients can access the life-saving treatments they need.”

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has a student of the year program. This is a leadership program in which students learn and develop professional skills such as entrepreneurship, marketing, and project management to raise funds for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This is a competition where the title Student(s) of the Year is awarded to the candidate or co-candidates who raised the most funds.

Here at Wilsonville High School, Sophomore Ainsley Kennedy has joined The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Student of the Year program this year. Ainsley says, “I encourage you to join me in supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by making a donation to my fundraising campaign.”  You have the opportunity to visit and donate to Ainsley’s campaign at https://events.lls.org/oswim/PortlandSOY21/akennedy

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Student of the Year event will take place on March 7th 2021 at 5 p.m. PST. Don’t miss out on your chance to support LLS and Ainsley’s campaign!
