Girls’ volleyball competed tonight against the Rex Putnam Kingsmen. The Wildcats emerged victorious after a 3-0 win in sets, with each set clearly dominated by Wilsonville.

Junior Ashli Edmiston, sophomore Makenna Weipert and senior Clarissa Klein helped to extend various Wildcat leads with unreturnable serves. Ashli Edmiston’s cross-court serves were especially hard for Putnam’s receivers to dig.

The Wildcats were also able to extend their leads with vicious kills by Clarissa Klein, receiving control by Sophia Kleckner, and all-around technique from each player that was put into the game.

With set scores of 25-5, 25-8, and 25-7, the Wilsonville Wildcats showed their readiness for competition even at this early stage of the season.
