Wilsonville continues dominance, improves to 8-0
Being a highly vaunted team is never easy, but the Wildcats are living up to the task with ease. As one of the only teams in the state who has not lost a set yet, they were slated to play the Scappoose Indians this Wednesday evening.
From the opening serve, the Wildcats looked impressive winning the first set 25-12. In this set, it looked like the Indians were shaking off the rust and were indecisive. The Wildcats capitalized on the opportunity with Clarissa Klein doing her thing, Ashli Edmiston playing solidly, and a host of other Cats contributing per usual.
Sets two and three had nearly the same result, being won by the Cats 25-11, 25-12 respectively. Throughout these sets, the Indians played a much stronger, controlled game, using footspeed and communication to earn more points in the early portion. The Wildcats were able to stave off the effort with net front play and impeccable serving.
Wilsonville won 3-0 to improve to 8-0 on the year and continue an impressive streak of 24 straight victorious sets.
