Wilsonville ends season after tie with Willamette

Jesus Loeza fights hard for a challenge, ties 1-1 with Willamette. This marks the end of the year for the Cats.

The Wildcats had a tough challenge when the visiting Willamette Wolverines came to town. At 9-0, the Wolverines looked to continue their wonderous season, as the Wildcats (5-3-3) looked to dethrone this streaking club.

The game reverted back to a tactical competition, which favored the Wolverines in the early going. Though Wilsonville was resurgent, mounting the pressure in the ladder portion of the second half. This pressure reached a crescendo with 6 minutes remaining in half one. Adam Landy put the Wildcats in front off of a header. The Wildcats took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.

In the second half, the teams fought evenly until Willamette broke through with 2 minutes to go in the game. They saw a roar of the away crowd fill the air, as this night resulted in a tie.

Wilsonville sends off its seniors on this night.
