Girls lacrosse wins a much needed contest at Randall- 14-5
From Randall Stadium on this Thursday afternoon, Wilsonville took on St. Mary’s in girls lacrosse. After Wilsonville lost a 14-6 game against the Lake Oswego Lakers, they entered this one with an absolute chip on their shoulder. They were not to be denied on this night either.
The Wildcats started at a blistering pace on the offensive side scoring 6 unanswered goals in the first 10 minutes. Panic ensued soon after when Alexis McIlmoil was called for 2 minutes long minor penalty, forcing Wilsonville to play without a player. St. Mary’s scored 2 goals to cut the deficit to 4 nearing the end of the half.
In the second Wilsonville shined through again scoring 6 straight to lead 12-2. In the absence of Ellie Grano, the Wildcats found offense from Tatum Hagen who scored 5 goals, Maura Schramm, Fiona Dunn, and a few other Cats.
St. Marys did make a run though, scoring three to close the game at 14-5.
