Wilsonville High School freshmen at the 2018 freshmen orientation

A new year brings a new class of freshmen!

This year’s freshmen have already been here at Wilsonville High School for three weeks. In these first few weeks, our freshmen have been able to experience an assembly, the first football game of the year, the first pregame tailgate, and be integrated into community here at WVHS.

Toshi Kondo shared his thoughts on the first three weeks of high school. “I was a little bit nervous coming into the school year because I didn’t know what to expect, but being on the soccer team definitely helped me to adapt to the high school environment.”

For many freshmen this has been the case, summer training’s give freshmen a good chance to meet people that have already been through their first couple years of high school.

However, for freshmen that don’t participate in sports or other activities that meet in the summer like robotics, the first few weeks of high school can be confusing and stressful. Finding where your next class is on the first day of school can be the most confusing.

Luckily, we have Link Crew and a great student body who are happy to help the freshmen find their next class. Over all, it’s been a great first few weeks of school here at Wilsonville High School.
