The Wilsonville varsity baseball team had their last league game Friday, May 18th against La Salle. Cats scored early and often and never let off the gas beating the Falcons 9-0 in their final regular season matchup. The Cats will finish the year with an overall record of 17-9 and a league finish of 12-5. Cats were ranked 9th in OSAA state tournament. Cats focus now turns to the their non league tournament game against the Dallas this Friday at 5pm at home. Cam Forsberg said they’ll prepared and ready for a hopeful long playoff run, “ We are taking it one game at a time and bringing our all in each game.”

The Wildcats overall had a successful season, they set the bar high for themselves and they just fell short of the state playoffs. Better luck next year Cats! A key point coaches will point out is to be a student-athlete and they accomplished that, the team finished with a combined 3.56 GPA. The most important thing was the team bonded and gained new relationships and had fun playing baseball!
