As the Wilsonville girls soccer team makes it’s way to the ultimate goal of a state championship, they took on the obstacle of the hated rival La Salle Falcons.

Lindsey Antonson started the Wilsonville barrage with a goal in the second minute. That could have been enough to earn the W, but the Cats were relentless as over the course of the next seventy eight minutes they thoroughly beat down La Salle.

Antonson had two goals in the first half and a couple more in the second half. The third goal came in the 50th minute as she had yet another hat trick this season. The 4th goal came in garbage time and is her 107th of her career.

Even though Antonson was the star of Wilsonville’s offense the defense was, and has been the rock that has helped the girls squad tremendously this year.  That defense has given up only six goals in nine games and when the Wilsonville offense has stalled the defense has been steady all year.

Kenley Whittaker  tacked on the last of the 5 goals in a beatdown of La Salle.

The student section who was in all pink supporting breast cancer awareness month was definitely a part of the girls success and they need your help Tuesday October 12th against Putnam.
