Join Sydney Hanson and Sophia Pattalochi at Wilsonville High School’s 2026 Spring Signing Day, held on May 12th 2026. This event formally acknowledges student athletes and their commitment to furthering their athletic careers at a collegiate level, celebrating years of dedication and achievement.
Signing day provides an opportunity for athletes to celebrate their future plans with their coaches, parents, friends, and anyone else who’s helped them succeed along the way.
Surrounded by their supporters, every athlete gets a chance to share a little bit about their personal experiences with high school athletics and their intended future plans. They are also given a moment to officially sign their letter of intent to their chosen school and sport. Every athlete also has a coach or mentor speak on their behalf, speaking to their achievements and impact over the years.
The ceremony highlighted athletes across various sports, recognizing their athletic success as well as the immense dedication and commitment it requires to become a college athlete.
Spring signing day is the third and final signing day for the 2025-2026 school year. In the past year, signing day has become student led, with Wilsonville Broadcast Networks very own Alex Derlago, serving as the MC for this event for the second consecutive time.
A total of 6 athletes signed at this event; Shae Moomaw for soccer at St. Mary’s, Alyssa Hurley for rifle shooting at the Air Force Academy, Scout Dennis for cross country and track at Westmount, Luke Carli for football at George Fox, and Grady Weise and Jack Rader for baseball at Lane and Butler.
While their high school careers are coming to a close, their journeys as collegiate athletes are only just beginning. Spring Signing Day marks both an ending as well as a new beginning, and Wilsonville is excited for what’s to come for these student athletes.
