Wilsonville baseball kicked off their first league games with a three-game series against the La Salle Falcons.  In game one, Wilsonville got to take them on at home. Senior Nolan Thebiay started on the mound for the Cats. La Salle jumped out with a 1-0 lead in the first and Wilsonville answered with a run as well.  It was a battle back and forth, but La Salle was able to get a 6-1 lead and maintain it until the 7th inning. Game two was at La Salle’s house. Junior Braden Woodworth was on the bump. La Salle got ahead early with a 3-0 lead in the first two innings and then Wilsonville fired back with a solo home run, by senior Trevor Antonson.  The Cats were not able to put up any more runs after that, but they kept La Salle from scoring any more runs. Game three was back at Wilsonville. This game was different. This team wasn’t here the first two games. In the first inning, La Salle hit a three-run home run and Wilsonville answered back with three runs in the bottom of the first.  After that Wilsonville dominated. Hit after hit they kept moving runners over and sending them home. The cats had a 12-5 lead going into the top of the 7th. The boys ended up winning 12-7.
