Baseball vs Bend

The boys took a little break from league and had only on game this week.  They hosted the Bend Lava Bears this tuesday for a rematch after last years 3-2 loss in the bottom of the ninth.  Starting on the bump was senior Nolan Thebiay.

This was just a non-league game, but for Thebiay it was personal.  As former Lava Bear himself took the mound to face some of his old teammates, Thebiay was able to throw a complete game only allowing two hits, one run, and one walk.  He also ended the game with a total of seven strikeouts.

The cats started off slow with the bats only getting four hits and got their first two runs in the bottom of the fifth.  They then scored another run in the bottom of the sixth to give them a 3-1 lead going into the last inning. The cats captured the win over the highly ranked 6A team and made it a sweat victory for Nolan Thebiay.

With this win the boys feel very confident to close out league and head into playoffs with a good shot at state.
