After falling to league rivals La Salle, the Wilsonville Wildcats bounced back with a win over the Scappoose Indians.

Going into the game, Wilsonville was 9-1 in league and Scappoose was 1-9. Although their record doesn’t show it, Scappoose is a young, talented team that has taken big steps this year.

The Wildcats got out to a hot start, leading 13-0 halfway through the first quarter. The home team was able to go deep into their bench, playing twelve players in the first half and getting the entire roster some valuable minutes ahead of the playoff push.

Wilsonville managed to hold Scappoose under 50 points, ultimately winning 69-49.

Looking ahead, Wilsonville is polishing up for playoffs. After finishing third last year, the Wildcats are poised to make a similar run this season. Currently, Wilsonville is ranked third in the state, behind Silverton and La Salle.

The Wildcats have one home game left in league play, next Tuesday against Milwaukie. It’s senior night, so come honor your four Wildcat seniors and support the team as they end their season and make their playoff push.
