Equal face off between Cats and Bulldogs
Jesus Loeza controls the ball late in the second half.
Wilsonville Boys’ soccer played the Woodburn Bulldogs in a competitive, although low-scoring, game.
Even with a 0-0 ending score, the game was fast-paced and competitive with shots fired at either teams’ goalies. Senior Adam Landy led the offense with aggressive drives and practiced ball control.
Early in the second half, the Bulldogs came within inches of scoring, but an off-sides call from a line-ref allowed the Cats to breathe a sigh of relief.
After such a close game, a rematch will need to be scheduled in the future.
