Wilsonville High School played host to Tigard on Tuesday. Tigard, the visiting squad, jumped out of the gates at a blistering pace by scoring 6 goals in the first quarter. After twelve minutes of action, they were up on the Wildcats 6-0.

The second quarter continued this way with the Tigers bringing the heat to carry an 11-1 lead into halftime, where adjustments would need to be made.

Out of halftime, it became clear that the Wildcats were not down and out. They made some hard defensive challenges by Eli Nelson and few others, that would set the tone for turnovers and fast-break goals. Some of Tigers’ medicine being fed back to them.

The Wildcats went on a nice run scoring 3 straight goals and outscoring the opponent 5-4 over the last 10 minutes but this change was not enough. Wilsonville lost on this night 16-6.
